Animation Session 8
In this session, Nat had us create a basic run cycle.
Instead of doing the usual, one side of the screen to the other, she wanted us to do a simple running on the spot animation.
I finished this really quickly.

Animation Session 7
In this session, Nat wanted us to make a new walk cycle. We started by watching Monty Python's Ministry of Silly Walks, then she drag us outside to perform some silly walks to animate.
This was mine.
After that, Nat asked us to draw the cycle out on paper first.
(Not the best quality photo I've ever taken)
After that we began animating.
Not entirely pleased with this one, but I think it's a fair attempt.

Maya: Intro Project
Since the beginning of term we had slowly been working through Alan's Maya tutorials with Simon. This introductory project was to create a Lego car.
I forgot to take screenshots of the modelling and rigging processes, but I did create a still image and a quick animation.
Here's the completed model
And here's the completed animation. (Animated in Maya and edited in After Effects)
After the car was finished, Simon asked us to create our own Lego vehicle using everything we learned.
I decided to make a tank.
This was actually more complicated than the car, not because I decided it should have 6 wheels (rigging the wheels was actually quite easy), but because of the cannon at the front. The cylinder pieces were something that I had to create brand new. It was far less difficult than I had anticipated. I simply repeated the steps to create a normal 1x1 block, but instead of starting with a cube I started with a cylinder.
Not going to lie, I'm excited for what comes next with Maya.

Animation Session 6
For this session, Nat wanted to start us on walk cycles. Unfortunately, we weren't in our normal room so she couldn't show us her version on the computer. Instead she drew a basic version on the white board and we had to fill in the gaps.
It's a bit jerky and the legs stretch a bit to much, but I'm kinda proud of this.

What If? Metropolis: Influence Maps V2
First Map - Collection of works by Dilomprizulike
Second Map - New idea for the city. Based on structures like Habitat 67 and with a heavier focus on recycling. Also some ideas for possible materials used in the build (Papier-mâché, old cloth, scrap metal sheets, recycled cans and plastic)

Digital Painting Session 6
In this session, Simon wanted us to play with proportions.
To do this he had us create structures with 3 basic shapes
We started with a square, a triangle and a circle.
We then had to draw 5 variants of each.
From here, we had to add extensions to the shapes, thinking about proper proportions.
Once we had done that, we added extra details, like doors and windows
And lastly, we added colour.
